Analysts, not a content mill

ResearchFlo is a small team of PhD-level researchers who spend their days doing the part of the work most people find hardest to outsource safely: coding, analysis, and the writing that follows from it.

Who we are

Ten years in other people's research

Our analysts hold doctorates and have run their own studies — in-depth interviews, focus groups, online surveys, mixed-methods designs. That's why we ask about your research question before we ask about your file format.

We've delivered more than 200 projects for students, university research groups and organisations, working in the same software your department already uses so nothing has to be converted, re-taught or explained twice.

The person who sets the standard

ResearchFlo is led by a public health physician and epidemiologist with more than twenty years of academic, programme and research experience — and 60+ peer-reviewed publications behind him.

Dr. Jamil Ahmed, Founder & Principal Researcher
Founder & Principal ResearcherDr. Jamil AhmedPublic health physician & epidemiologist — 20+ years across South Asia and the Gulf
MBBSMPH (Leeds)FCPS Community MedicinePhD Public Health (Sydney)

Jamil has spent twenty years moving between the field and the faculty — running donor-funded maternal, newborn and child health programmes across South Asia with JHPIEGO/USAID and World Vision International, and teaching epidemiology and supervising postgraduate research at Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain, where he has also sat on the university's research ethics committee.

His own training runs across both traditions: an MBBS, an MPH from the Nuffield Centre at Leeds on a World Bank scholarship, a Fellowship in Community Medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, and a PhD in Public Health from Sydney. He's as fluent in survey design and DHS data as he is in coding an interview transcript.

Since then he's delivered evaluations and technical assignments for WHO, UNICEF, USAID, IDRC, the Packard Foundation and WaterAid, and reviews for PLOS ONE, BMC Public Health and Midwifery. That mix — fieldwork, faculty and peer review — is why ResearchFlo works the way it does: he knows exactly which corners can't be cut, and what a supervisor or examiner will ask next.

We know health research from the inside

Method travels across disciplines; vocabulary does not. These are the fields where our analysts have run their own studies, sat on ethics committees and been through peer review themselves.

The analytical method is identical outside health — these are simply the areas where we bring method expertise rather than subject expertise, and we will say so up front.
